Why Ricky Ricardo

Why Choose Us

Six reasons homeowners across Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta and the rest of metro Atlanta keep calling us back.

The Base Is Where We Spend

Excavated to depth, base rock compacted in lifts, edges anchored. It is the part you never see and the only reason turf stays flat.

The Owner Is On the Job

Ricardo Gonzalez Aguayo runs the crew and works on site. You talk to the person laying the turf, not a call center.

Honest, Up-Front Pricing

Free on-site estimates and the full scope in writing before we start. Ask about $500 off for friends and family of past clients.

Open Mon – Sat · 9 AM – 5 PM

Six days a week, with Saturday estimates at no extra charge — usually the easiest time to walk the yard together.

Drainage Sorted First

Georgia rain arrives all at once and our clay does not absorb it. Every base we build is graded and drained before a single roll goes down.

One Crew, Whole Project

Turf, patios, retaining walls, fire features and lighting under one roof. No juggling four contractors to finish one yard.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

We're based in Marietta and work across metro Atlanta — Atlanta, Sandy Plains, Roswell, Smyrna, Woodstock, Canton, Alpharetta, Brookhaven, Decatur, Mableton and Milton, plus the communities in between. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask.

It depends on square footage, the turf you choose, how much excavation the yard needs, and whether drainage or a wall has to be sorted out first. A small dog run and a full back yard are very different numbers. We give free on-site estimates and put the whole scope in writing, so you have a clear price before any work starts.

Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday appointments are available at no extra charge, which is usually the easiest time for people to walk the yard with us.

Yes — $500 off for friends and family of past clients. Most of our work comes from word of mouth, so we'd rather put that money there than into advertising. Just mention who sent you when you call.

In full sun it does get warmer than natural grass — that's true of any hard surface, including a patio or a deck. It matters less than people expect in practice, because most of the yards we do have some tree cover, and a cooling infill plus a lighter turf color takes the edge off the worst of it. If your lawn is in full southern exposure and used barefoot at midday, tell us and we'll spec for it rather than pretend it isn't a factor.

It's one of the main reasons people call us. Dogs don't wear a bare path into it, there's no mud tracked into the house, and urine drains straight through a properly built base rather than killing patches. The part that matters is the infill and the drainage — a pet-specific antimicrobial infill over a free-draining base is what keeps it from holding odor. That's the part cheap installs skip.

A good turf over a properly built base should give you fifteen years or more, and the warranty on the turf itself is usually in that range. What ages first isn't the blades — it's the infill washing down and the base settling, both of which we can top up and correct without replacing the lawn.

Far less, but not none. Rinse it down occasionally, clear leaves and pollen off it, and have the infill topped up and the pile power-broomed every year or two — more often if you have dogs. That's the whole list. We do that as a service if you'd rather not.

Yes, and we do it often. Lifting seams, curled edges, wrinkles, low spots that hold water, burns and worn pet paths are all repairable. We'll look at what's under it first, because the failure is nearly always the base or the fastening rather than the turf, and tell you honestly if a section is past saving.

Yes. We build patios and outdoor kitchens, retaining walls and terracing, and fire pits and outdoor fireplaces. Most of our bigger jobs are all of the above at once — it's cheaper and it comes out looking planned rather than assembled a piece at a time.
